Terms of Service

Last updated: October 21, 2026

These Terms of Service cover Stratus Studios projects: the software products that Stratus Studios LLC builds and runs. They do not cover the Stratus Studios consultancy or its client work.

1. Products

Each product has its own Terms of Service. The terms of a product govern your use of that product. This page sets out the terms that the products have in common. If this page and the terms of a product differ, the terms of the product apply.

If you bought a pass or a plan, the Terms of Service of the product that you bought it in apply to your purchase.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

2. Agreement

Stratus Studios LLC ("Stratus Studios", "we", "us") operates the products. When you use a product or create an account, you agree to its Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the product.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract with us to use a product.

4. Accounts

You do not need an account to design. An export can need an account and a pass or a plan. If you create an account, use an email address you control and keep it accurate. An account belongs to one person. Keep your password safe, and do not let anyone else use your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has used it, tell us at support@stratusstudios.com.

5. The products

The products design objects for 3D printing. You decide whether a design suits your printer and your material, and you check the result of each print. The products show warnings, but we do not promise any physical result.

6. Your content

You keep every right you hold in the designs you put into a product, and in the files you export. We claim no ownership of them. You give us only the permission we need to run the product: to store, copy, and process your content, for example to keep your saved designs.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use a product to:

We may suspend or end an account that breaks these rules.

The products offer a design pass and a monthly plan for paid exports.

9. Changes and availability

We may change, add, or remove features, and we may stop a product. We do not promise that a product will be available without interruption or free of errors.

We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. If a change is material, we tell account holders by email before it takes effect. If you continue to use a product after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.

10. Termination

You can end your use of a product at any time. You can delete your account in the product, in Account. We may suspend or end your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop the product. The Privacy Policy of each product explains what happens to your data after deletion.

11. Disclaimers

The products are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that a product will meet your requirements, that its designs or files will work for your purpose, or that any defect will be corrected.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stratus Studios will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profit, arising out of or relating to your use of a product. Our total liability for any claim relating to a product will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for that product in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred United States dollars.

13. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Stratus Studios from any claim, loss, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of the content you put into a product, your use of a product, or your breach of these terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in California will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of a product, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

15. General

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a right, we do not waive it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our written consent. We may transfer ours to a company that takes over a product.
